Travel Diaries: London

This summer I’m traveling to London, France and Greece with my family! We just spent the first week of our trip in London and it definitely exceeded all my expectations! We did so many activities in the span of one week it’s crazy. In fact, my family wants to go back in December because they loved it so much, which I wouldn’t mind either šŸ™‚

The London Eye

We couldn’t go to London without going on The London Eye! It was way bigger in person and each capsule actually fits about 25 people. Good thing there were air conditioned though lol! We went on our first full day in London and we had great weather for pictures!

My mom and I had the best time!

Tower of London

While we were in London we also went to The Tower of London to see the crown jewels. I had no idea the tower was so big! Here’s a tip if you plan on going to the Tower of London anytime soon: go EARLY in the morning and see the jewels first, then explore the tower. It will save you from waiting in line for hours! The jewels were amazing and so beautiful. I kept asking my parents if they were real because I couldn’t imagine a jewel or diamond that big! Unfortunately, there was a strict no pictures rule when looking at the jewels šŸ™ But, I really enjoyed it and would 100% go back.

Vincent Van Gogh Exhibit

After going to the Tower of London we went to The Tate Britain museum to see a special Vincent Van Gogh exhibit. After London, the exhibit is going to Berlin and then to Detroit at the DIA (Detroit Institute of Arts). I did not expect to like this exhibit as much as I did, but if you have the chance to see the show I would recommend it! Seeing it up close is super special!

High Tea

Tea was by far my favorite part of the whole trip! We went to a really cool restaurant called sketch! There are different rooms you can be placed in and we were sat in the pink room which I was so excited about. I discovered that I am not much of a tea drinker lol, but it was fun to just sit and take in how amazing the room was.

This was the room we were in and it was really cool. I loved all the art work, especially!
