Winged Out!

I have always loved makeup. It’s a way to express myself and my creativity instead of a way to cover up my insecurities. When it comes to makeup, THE EYES HAVE IT. Whether they’re dramatic or muted, they are the first thing that people notice. My weekends always consist of spending time with friends and one of our favorite past times includes applying makeup. Here are some tips to achieve the perfect look.

I am always trying to improve on my makeup skills and I have been most recently working to perfect winged liner! It has definitely not come easy for me, but I am determined to keep trying. I keep getting better and better the more I try and if your interested in how I achieved this look then keep reading 🙂

Step 1: Fill in your eyebrow with a neutral brown color or brow pencil using soft hairlike strokes to mimic real brow hairs.

Step 2: Use a small amount of concealer or a light eyeshadow primer and tap it lightly onto your eyelid until it is blended evenly all over. For the concealer, I love the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer and for a great eyeshadow primer, I love the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original.

Step 3: I chose not to wear any eyeshadow for this look so the wing and inner corner could really stand out. Therefore, I just did a thick winged liner, using the Pat McGrath Perma Precision Liquid Eyeliner in black. After drawing on the liner along my lash line (like normal eyeliner) I go ahead and execute the wing.

Step 4: I always look straight ahead when making the wing and begin by making a small line going from the outer corner of my eye towards the tail of my eyebrow. Once I have this line, I connect the top of the line that we just made to my lash line. Then, I fill in the wing to finish it off.

Step 5: After, I use concealer under the wing to make it the straightest and sharpest it can be. I love a wing because it really gives the appearance of a more lifted face and eyes.

Step 6: Then, I’ll take a bright pink or any bright color, I used the pink glittery shades “Twenty-Two” and “Goal Setter” from the  Kylie Cosmetics You’re So Money Baby palette on a Morphe M124. This look has few steps, yet it leaves you with a fierce look ready for day or night!

Step 7: After curling your lashes, apply a coat of black mascara to your top and bottom lashes. For this look, I used the Mac Cosmetics Extended Play Gigablack Lash Mascara because the small wand ensures no clumping.

Step 8: Finally, gently spray your face with setting spray so your look lasts all day! (I love the Morphe Prep and Set Continuous Setting Mist).
